Frequently Asked Questions

Buying on TemplateTrip

No — you can browse the full marketplace without creating an account. You'll only need to sign up when you're ready to make a purchase.
Use the search bar to search by keyword, or use the category tabs and filters to narrow by platform (Shopify, WordPress, WooCommerce, etc.), price range, and rating. Every product has a live preview — use it before you buy. You can also save products to your wishlist to compare them later.
Yes. Every product listing includes a live demo preview. Click the preview link on any product page to see it in action. Screenshots and feature lists are also included on every listing.
Once your payment is confirmed, your product is available for immediate download from your account dashboard. You'll also receive a download confirmation email with your purchase receipt and license details. There's no waiting period and no approval queue.
Yes — always. Every product you've purchased is stored permanently in your account. Log in at any time and re-download from your order history, whether it's been a week or three years.
Many sellers update their products regularly to fix issues, improve compatibility, or add new features. When an update is released for a product you've purchased, you'll be notified and can download the updated version from your account at no extra charge.
TemplateTrip covers all major web platforms — Shopify, WordPress, WooCommerce, PrestaShop, HTML/CSS, Joomla, Magento, and more. We also carry UI kits, code and scripts, SaaS app templates, and AI tools that are platform-agnostic.
The vast majority of templates on TemplateTrip are fully responsive and mobile-ready. Each product listing specifies this — look for "responsive" or "mobile-friendly" in the features list or product tags. When in doubt, check the live preview on a mobile browser or ask the seller directly.
If a product is materially different from what's listed — broken files, missing features, or functionality that doesn't match the description — contact TemplateTrip support. We take inaccurate listings seriously and will investigate. See our Refund Policy for full details on how disputes are handled.
Yes, with a Regular License. A Regular License covers a single end project — including one built for a client. The key condition is that the end product is free for users to access. If your client's project will charge end users (e.g. a paid SaaS), an Extended License is required. See the Licensing section below for more detail.

Selling on TemplateTrip

Yes — completely free. There are no registration fees, no monthly subscription costs, and no listing charges. You only share a commission when you make a sale — 20% to TemplateTrip, 80% to you.
80% of every sale, flat — always. It doesn't matter how many products you have, how long you've been on the platform, or whether you sell the same product elsewhere. The rate never changes.
Absolutely not. You can sell the same product on ThemeForest, your own website, Creative Market, or anywhere else — your 80% commission on TemplateTrip is unaffected. No exclusivity clauses, no penalties, no exceptions.
You can sell any professional digital product that can be licensed for use — website themes and templates (Shopify, WordPress, WooCommerce, PrestaShop, HTML, and more), UI kits and design assets, code and scripts, SaaS and app templates, AI tools and prompts, and other digital downloads. Products must meet our quality standards and comply with licensing rules.
From your seller dashboard, create a new product listing. Add your product files, screenshots, a description, key features, compatibility details, price, and license type, then submit for review. Our team will check your submission and either approve it or send you specific feedback on what needs to be changed.
Most products are reviewed within 3 to 5 business days. More complex submissions — particularly large code-based products — may take a little longer. You'll be notified by email when your product is approved or if changes are needed. There's no limit on resubmissions.
Common reasons for rejection include unlicensed third-party assets, incomplete or broken files, inaccurate product descriptions, missing documentation for technical products, and low-quality preview screenshots. You'll always receive specific feedback on what to fix — rejections are never a dead end, just a redirection.
Yes. You set your own price on TemplateTrip, completely independent of what you charge on other platforms. Pricing is entirely your decision.
Yes. You can upload new versions of your product at any time from your seller dashboard. When you push an update, buyers who have already purchased the product can download the new version from their account at no extra cost.
Yes. There are no restrictions on cross-listing. If you've built a product that's already live on ThemeForest or elsewhere, you're free to list it on TemplateTrip too. Your 80% commission applies regardless.
No. There's no cap on how many products you can have in your TemplateTrip store. List as many as you like — subject to each one passing the quality review.
Yes. TemplateTrip is open to individual freelancers, independent designers and developers, and agencies of any size. Any professional creator of quality digital products is welcome on the platform.

Commission & Payouts

TemplateTrip takes 20% of every sale you make. You keep 80%. This rate is flat — it doesn't change based on your sales volume, how long you've been on the platform, or whether you sell the same product elsewhere. There are no other deductions beyond payment processing fees, which are detailed in the Seller Agreement.
It's significantly better than the major alternatives. ThemeForest/Envato offers 30 to 50% for non-exclusive sellers (dropping to as low as 30% if you sell elsewhere). TemplateMonster gives sellers 20 to 40%. Creative Market is 70% but limits the types of products you can sell. On TemplateTrip, 80% is the floor — not the ceiling, not the best case, just the standard rate for everyone.
Payouts are processed on a regular schedule. The exact schedule and minimum payout threshold are displayed in your seller dashboard. You'll receive an email notification each time a payout is processed.
Payouts are currently available via PayPal and bank transfer. Available methods and supported countries are listed in your seller dashboard during payout setup.
Yes — a minimum earnings threshold must be reached before a payout is triggered. The current threshold is shown in your seller dashboard. Earnings below the threshold roll over to the next payout cycle.
The 20% commission is the primary deduction. Payment processing fees may apply depending on the transaction method and your location — these are outlined in the Seller Agreement. There are no listing fees, monthly fees, or hidden charges of any kind.
If a refund is issued, the corresponding sale amount is reversed from your earnings. TemplateTrip's refund policy is applied consistently — refunds are only issued in cases where a product is genuinely faulty or materially misrepresented. Buyers cannot claim a refund simply because they changed their mind after downloading.
Yes. Your seller dashboard shows a real-time feed of sales, earnings, and product performance. You can filter by date range, product, and other dimensions to analyse your store's performance.

Licensing

A Regular License allows you to use a product for a single end project — either for yourself or a client. The end product must be free for users to access. It cannot be used in a product that charges end users (e.g. a paid SaaS, a paid app). One license per project.
An Extended License allows you to use a product in a single end project where end users are charged to access it. This covers paid SaaS tools, subscription apps, and any product where the template forms part of a paid offering. One Extended License per project.
No. Each license — Regular or Extended — covers a single end project. If you want to use the same product in two different projects, you need to purchase two separate licenses.
No — each client project requires its own license. Buying one Regular License covers one client project. For agencies regularly building with the same template, purchasing a license per project is required.
Yes. You're free to modify, adapt, and customise any template you purchase to fit your project. What you cannot do is resell the template itself — modified or unmodified — as a standalone product.
No. Purchasing a template gives you the right to use it in your own projects. It does not give you the right to resell, redistribute, or sublicense the template itself to others. If you want to sell templates, you need to create and list your own original products on TemplateTrip.
Yes. Listing your product on TemplateTrip does not transfer ownership. You retain full intellectual property rights. TemplateTrip acts as a marketplace and distribution platform — buyers purchase a license to use your product, not the product itself.

Accounts & Billing

Click "Sign Up" in the top navigation and register with your email address. You can also sign up during checkout. Once registered, you have immediate access to your purchase history, downloads, and wishlist.
Click "Become a Seller" and complete the seller registration form. Seller accounts are free and require no approval to create — you can start uploading products as soon as you're set up.
Yes. Your TemplateTrip account can function as both a buyer and a seller account. Switch between buyer and seller modes from your dashboard.
Click "Forgot Password" on the login screen and enter your registered email address. You'll receive a password reset link within a few minutes. Check your spam folder if it doesn't arrive.
Log in and go to Account Settings. From there you can update your payment method, billing address, and other account details. Changes take effect immediately for future transactions.
Yes. You can request account deletion from your Account Settings page. Note that deleting a buyer account will remove access to your purchase history and downloads, so ensure you've downloaded everything you need beforehand. Seller accounts with pending payouts must resolve those before deletion.
TemplateTrip displays prices in USD. Your payment provider may apply a currency conversion depending on your location and payment method.
Yes. A purchase receipt is emailed to you immediately after every successful transaction. Receipts are also stored permanently in your account under Order History and can be downloaded at any time.

Products & Quality

Yes — every product is manually reviewed by our team before it's published to the marketplace. We check for file quality, licensing compliance, description accuracy, and documentation standards. Nothing goes live without passing review.
Products must include complete, working files, accurate descriptions that match the delivered product, properly licensed third-party assets, and documentation for technical products. Code-based products are checked for functionality and clean structure. Design products are checked for visual quality and completeness.
Every product listing includes a compatibility section listing tested platforms, framework versions, and requirements. Always check this before buying. If you have a specific version question not answered in the listing, contact the seller directly through the product page.
"Last updated" shows when the seller most recently pushed a new version of the product. Products with recent updates are actively maintained. A long gap since the last update isn't necessarily a problem — some products are complete and stable — but it's worth checking the product's comments or asking the seller.
Yes. After purchasing a product, you're able to leave a star rating and written review from your account. Reviews are only accepted from verified buyers. We don't edit or remove reviews unless they violate our community guidelines.
If a seller removes a product or their account is closed, your access to re-download the product may be affected. We recommend downloading your purchased products promptly after purchase and storing a backup copy. TemplateTrip does its best to maintain download access for existing buyers, but cannot guarantee indefinite availability for removed listings.
Yes — we actively welcome feedback on gaps in the catalog. Use the contact form to suggest a product type, category, or platform you'd like to see covered. High-demand suggestions go directly to our seller acquisition team.

Support

Every product on TemplateTrip includes a seller-defined support period — the duration and scope are listed on the product page. Seller support typically covers installation help, bug fixes, and compatibility questions. It does not cover custom modifications, feature requests beyond the listed product scope, or issues caused by third-party plugins or services.
Go to your account's Order History, find the relevant purchase, and use the "Contact Seller" button. The seller will receive your message and respond within their stated support window.
If a seller is unresponsive within a reasonable timeframe during their active support period, contact TemplateTrip support and we'll step in. For products outside the support window, TemplateTrip's Help Centre and community forum may be able to help with common questions.
You can reach our support team via the Help Centre contact form. We aim to respond to all tickets within one business day. For urgent billing or account issues, mark your ticket as high priority.
TemplateTrip support handles platform-level issues — account access, billing and payments, download problems, and policy questions. Product-specific issues — installation, customisation, bugs, compatibility — are the seller's responsibility during the stated support period.
Yes. TemplateTrip's seller community is a place to connect with other creators, share listing tips, ask platform questions, and stay updated on new features and policy changes. Access it from your seller dashboard.
